<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7NQbdm6TacNvtkQ5y0rlhubXoQkEHVjjzkl4hj_YoDHsC-SSh6yQlL3Se45oZc9p-MGWESeLtr7RqgutinKTIv2zUZ2nYtlOXPq8eZLKoDcit8uAY_XdciF2fyQOn7nPDQecfXd9BdPo/s1600/the+falsies+push+up+drama+mascara.jpg" /></div>
<br />
I've seen so many people on twitter recently talking about the new <b>Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara</b> that I couldn't really not try it for myself. As in the name, it's supposed to create a false lash look by plumping and volumising lashes. Personally I prefer more natural, fluttery looking lashes and I'm really not one to wear false lashes either, so I was intrigued to see how I got on with this mascara. One of it's main selling points is that it contains styling wax which is supposed to keep lashes lifted. I've never heard of a mascara containing wax before, but it does seem to be a bit thicker and wetter than most mascaras I've tried. <br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<b>Maybelline</b> have also designed a 'Push-Up brush' with 'cup-shaped bristles' to work with their unique formula to boost and thicken lashes. If I'm honest I can't really see how the bristles are cup-shaped, to me it just looks like a straight brush with thick, stubby spikes. The design of the brush however does hold a lot of product, which works really well with this type of very wet, very thick formula. <br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTaQIw1ZM9C6RShBB1IdAhEInhMV5WTp1l-Nq1caoRWgxYdyclVyMA4wr1a6WVAuk-A6Xxm4RGU44YQT-yKX7WTjQrNJK61XW46vvQLQezOoW7RV6V40MEMwNvFTLeX4BeE3RpR00CAXM/s1600/maybelline+the+falsies+mascara+wand.jpg" /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil5PdMX_2UZ6cfeTY2qoNDHe9l2vQCoNCnrYIyZTFgOl7xariLXqebhtKVU32HAoMuL3Hnz-FSkGztBh1jsbPysgYd8zm7Sye7y00QgaxIsj3lrJ9gjBPaangRa-gt0QJtnBVjrTVkWnM/s1600/maybelline+the+falsies+mascara.jpg" /></div>
<br />
As I mentioned before, the mascara itself has a very wet formula which makes it great for gradually building up the layers if you're after something more like a false lash look. The down side being it's quite tricky to work with, you can end up with a clumpy mess of lashes quite quickly! I found the best way to use it is with a light hand, applying light layers and building the volume up that way.<br />
<br />
You can see in the image below just one coat is more than enough for long, fluttery lashes, exactly what I would go for every day. I was really impressed with how much length it gave my lashes too, they were practically touching my eyebrows! That might have had something to do with the lift it gives your lashes too, mine are quite straight but with this mascara it genuinely looked as if I'd curled them. The lift lasts pretty much all day too, very impressive! It was a little flaky at the end of the day but no more so than any other mascara and it didn't smudge at all under my eyes, even after a whole days wear. I'd say the longevity is about average but considering it looked just as good after a sweaty gym session, it gets the thumbs up from me! <br />

<b> Left Eye - One Coat Right Eye - Two Coats</b><br />
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
I was slightly dubious about trying the <b>Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara</b> because as I've already said, I prefer something a bit more natural. However I actually really, really like this mascara! It does take a little getting used to when you first start using it, but I love how versatile it is. You can create natural looking fluttery lashes or really build it up to a thick, bold false lash style. It's a great all rounder!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I set out to do this post about my everyday makeup essentials I didn't actually think I wore that much makeup day to day. Then I laid all the products out to take photos and now I seriously can't believe I put all of that on my face! This is what I'd use for a 'natural' look too, it really makes you think! But anyway, these are the products I'd use if I want to make a bit of an effort without looking like I'm wearing a lot of makeup. It probably takes me about 5-10 minutes to put all this on but usually I don't like to rush my makeup application. I have been known to spend over an hour just on my makeup! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
(Oh and just so you know, I find the smudges on the mirror in the picture above just as annoy as you do, but I just couldn't bring myself to take the pictures all over again!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUKM0lUsw9WFEtgxA11sbGDfQSg2dCpeL4_yo8mZm-yBa0IE80U5jYZFn1XZ1UFxt_qFlWxfcCfDNWI8cOTTXG4CQnkvWEHazOPA44C8f483Ijo4Z7Y8oUn9XyO17GlznHNRu5uRMyrhI/s1600/foundation%252C+concealer+and+powder.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Starting off with the base, I need products with staying power on my oily skin. My go to's are currently <b>Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Foundation</b>, <b>Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Concealer</b>, <b>L'Oreal True Match Touche Magique Concealer</b> and <b>Maybelline Matte Maker Powder</b>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot Foundation</b> starts as a liquid and turns to a powdery consistency on your skin. It's extremely matte and while it is powdery, it doesn't look cakey on the skin at all. It's pretty full coverage too but to cover up any remaining redness/spots I use <b>Maybelline Superstay Concealer</b>. This stuff is heavy duty concealing at it's best, I would highly recommend this one along with<b> Maybelline Better Skin Concealer</b>. Both are really great concealers that work well on oily skin. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As for concealing under my eyes, well it depends on how good a nights sleep I've got but generally, I don't have much of an issue with dark circles.<b> L'Oreal Touche Magique</b> is a lightening, under eye concealer that does't have any noticeable shimmer in it like a lot of others do. I tend to only apply it underneath the inner corner of my eye and blend it down and out as I need to. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To give me extra assurance that all my makeup isn't going to have slid down my face half way through the day, I use <b>Maybelline Matte Maker Powder</b>. As a rule I only ever apply powder to my t-zone, but since I've started using the <b>Soap & Glory Foundation</b> I mostly just use powder on spots and around my nose.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQy8z_OL-ZzUwMr-fXjMDrfawbXUYCzmRuT5u7m7JSlGNT5RW73JqpAHEY8cAnZhyphenhyphenUO8_II64BmChwFwIoiS2mFroC5bWUuFtKs0iRD-tZAoTWnlNB3cPlO0h2R9FMFcew5PVsg2fnMmo/s1600/mascara+eye+pencil+eyebrow+pencil.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As for what I use on my eyes, you'll probably never see me without <b>Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil</b> in the shade 'Stag'. It's a dark brown liner that I like to apply from the middle to the outer part of my eye, on both the top and bottom lash line which I then blend out. Coupled with<b> L'Oreal False Lash Sculpt Mascara</b>, it gives me a natural, thick and fluttery lash look. Above all I like to have long lashes and this mascara is great for that. If you want to check out the review I did of it recently then<b> <a href="http://beautydressed.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/loreal-false-lash-sculpt-mascara-review.html" target="_blank">click here</a></b>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On my eyebrows I've recently started using <b>Maybelline Brow Satin Eyebrow Pencil </b>in the shade dark brown. It's double-ended, on one is a push up 'gel pen' and on the other a cream powder. The general idea is you use the powder to set the pencil/pen/whatever it is in place, but I just use the pencil/pen on it's own. I have pretty thick brows anyway so I don't have too much use for a eyebrow pencil, but I use it to fill in any gaps and to give them a bit more of a defined shape. Bearing in mind, I don't actually tend to fill my eyebrows in every day. I thought I'd include it anyway however as it's something I've started doing every so often and I know that most people include it in their everyday makeup routine.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP0wzUM3RLEGfgSpYbZfFShq-IaeHLOzZi-YDrTrQtjZolWgcfjCWD_QboUDSu7YxkeYLO1Ttp6pLVHSKLYuaqMs-IZjXKt7CRmUV9X6uFfZtXYGrCofdVaCHc-r107BkiQVUPY1LpStg/s1600/liquid+lipstick+and+nars+one+shocking+moment+pallete.jpg" /></div>
<br />
To finish I use either of the shades 'Robotic' or 'Blasphemy' from the <b>Nars One Shocking Moment Cheek Studio Palette</b>. They're the two lightest pink shades from the palette which give me a natural flush of colour back to my cheeks, definitely needed with the high coverage <b>One Heck Of A Blot Foundation</b>!<br />
<br />
On my lips I always go for a nude shade. If you're interested in seeing my favourite nude lipsticks then you can <a href="http://beautydressed.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/nude-lipstick-shades-to-suit-fair-skin.html" target="_blank">read my post on it here</a>. The last few days I've been choosing to wear <b>Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick</b> in the matte shade 10 'Don't pink of it!', so that's the one I decided to include in the post. It's a slightly peach-ey, pale pink colour that's only slightly darker than my natural lip shade. My lips but better as beauty vloggers love to say!<br />

When you're having one of those really awful, cruddy, nothing's going your way days, what do you like to do to cheer yourself up? I was thinking about this recently when I was having one of those days. I realised there are things I always do without fail to make myself feel better. It's interesting when you stop and think about all the little things that make you happy that you do over and over again. We really are creatures of habit I suppose!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpCBMNX3i8Sw7dVFxl8_Iul4u23i9jlO9Rl_uVd-1KqR7qRahSGiAeh_ISazgmmFVRiZQqkqwuGidyuaL3vYh9R67Wvqja9qKHW6Tv_t4XmQF8EW1EOOzuZrs6DTjXC3huD2vve5mC4F4/s1600/books+on+bed.jpg" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;"></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-size: x-large;">Re-read My Favourite Book(s)</span><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I LOVE reading, I mean I read a lot! When I need to escape my reality for an hour and go into someone else's, I will pick up one of my favourite books and start reading. That usually means any book by Paige Toon, Lindsay Kelk or Jenny Han. I'm a typical girl and therefore a sucker for a rom-com, if you haven't checked out any of their books before then you definitely should! </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

My sister and I are basically the same person anyway so when I text/ring/whatsapp my sister, I know she'll get me out of my grump. Or she'll agree with me about what's annoying me. She'll listen when I'm sobbing down the phone. She'll ring me straight away if I need to talk to her. You get the idea, basically my Sister is the absolute bees frickin knees and I know she's always got my back.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Hang Out With Freddie</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you have a dog then you'll understand when I say that just being with my dog Freddie instantly improves my mood. It's hard to feel rubbish when you have a bouncy dog greet you at the door who's really pleased to see you. Or who needs to go for a walk so you have to get up and go and get some fresh air. Plus he's super cuddly so if I need to hug it out, he's the one. </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Write A To Do List</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm not usually a list sort of person but when things are getting on top of me, the best thing is to make a to do list. Technically it doesn't cheer me up if I see all the things I need to do in front of me, but being able to write it all down and not worry about forgetting anything definitely does. Plus you can write it all down then walk away from it! For a little while at least. </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Bake Something</span></div>
Baking is therapy for me when I want to keep my mind busy. It feels good to put a bit of effort into something or even just to try a new recipe and see how it works out. Even better you get something yummy out of it at the end and call me fickle, but the little bit of praise from the people who try it feels pretty good too!<br />

<span style="font-size: x-large;">Put</span><span style="font-size: x-large;"> Makeup </span><span style="font-size: x-large;">On</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
No I don't need to wear makeup to feel happy about myself, it's applying it that thrills me the most. I find it completely relaxing focusing all my concentration on something that I really love doing. Of course there's the added confidence boost at the end that I look a bit better than I did before but even if I have no where to go, I can sit and apply my makeup and it will make me feel that little bit happier. </div>

<b>The Balm Nude'Tude Palette</b> was a gift from my Sister this Christmas and I literally haven't touched any of my other palettes since I got it. It's been the only one I've reached for every day since! I know I'm a bit late to the party considering <b>The Balm Cosmetics</b> have been around for a few years now, but it's only recently that my local Superdrug started stocking it and I got to see the palette in real life. Anyone else think Superdrug has got a lot better for makeup lately!? They're so much better than Boots now! But anyway as I said I've been using the <b>Nude 'Tude Palette</b> everyday and in my opinion, it's one of those all round versatile palettes that every makeup addict needs in their stash!</div>

Considering it's middle of the range price tag, I'm really impressed with the quality of the shadows. The colour pay off is great and they really seem to glide on the skin effortlessly without loads of fallout. I love how versatile the palette is too, you can easily create a soft, natural, daytime eye but layer up the colour and you have a more intense, evening look I've included below swatches of all the shades where the colour have been layered up twice. You can see just how well the frosted pale shades show up on my fair skin, but I bet they'd look even better on a darker skin tone! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhgayOSr0rwq5gBT_JeWvQRgUxBzLrY7S0Gx8-GPv32g2YIJ4muh0Pj1uBNRVS7ll8QAGkMSFp1xJrO8Ae9t-fgGZOuvNFhia33DWlV9wMY_ZENEKhqVDAdWwdZgD6nfmdYc6Xdl5Hb5Q/s1600/nude+tude+palette+swatches+.jpg" /></div>
<br />
The <b>Nude'Tude palette</b> contains a really great mix of frosted and matte shades, my particular favourites being<b> 'Stand-Offish'</b>, a pale gold shimmer, for a neutral wash of colour, <b>'Sultry'</b>, a light matte brown, as a natural looking contour shade and<b> 'Silly'</b>, a dark brown shade with gold glitter, to create more of an evening look. There are some great matte shades to use to line the eyes too,<b> 'Sleek'</b>, a dark matte brown, is a nice alternative to black for under the eyes although<b> 'Serious'</b> a matte black, works really well to define the upper lash line too.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Tutorial:</span></b><br />
The look below I created by applying<b> 'Sleek'</b> a matte burgundy shade to the socket line and blending upwards. Then I added<b> 'Stand-Offish'</b> all over my lid up to the socket line, lined my top lash line with<b> 'Serious' </b>to define and blended that out slightly. Finally I used what was left on my brush of <b>'Sleek'</b> on my lower lash line and again just blended out the line slightly. I really liked the end result, I've never considered before using red eyeshadow but it ended up working really well! I actually used the little brush that came with the palette to line my eyes and blend out the shadow and it worked perfectly! It must be the first time I've ever used a brush that's come with a palette and thought it was good quality, usually they're cheap and rubbish! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD2BVDLInkwvHKSoyaqp-MmcG5NZ22ZErYbkLbh6c7tO_IVLwGmRR2a-n7EfWDGLHNe2YKosCoiWt7djDDEu3lGIr3u0QALy0zFUlWeptfjC4wMlZGJ27pt8qeanYEXd6hQtQ0GPPWTi4/s1600/nude+tude+makeup+look.jpg" /></div>

<br />
If you haven't got it already, I would highly recommend <b>The Balm Nude'Tude Palette</b>. It's a great, cheaper alternative to the <b>Urban Decay Naked Palettes</b> and in my opinion the quality of the shadows is just as good. Now that<b> The Balm Cosmetics </b>is so much more widely available here in the UK, I'll definitely be giving more of they're products a try. I've heard great things about the <b>Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer </b>and <b>Nude Dude</b>, which is the second release of their nude eyeshadow palettes, so they're next on my list!<br />
<br />
<b>The Balm Nude'Tude Palette</b> is currently <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/The-Balm/The-Balm-NUDE%27tude-Nude-eyeshadow-palette-12-shades/p/951957#.Vp2mr_mLR1s" target="_blank"><b>available here</b></a> for £29.99.<br />
<br />
Have you tried anything from <b>The Balm Cosmetics</b>? Let me know if you have any recommendations!<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSGoj3RiZsUnKgF1J3DhCy5T44Qc_C6GDerTuhf_HAtDXU01fJrGZf4ULYUDH68HYVskn_rlDIUhpHvSKKmp2hM6IwZso77YXvS-6bdLJk6rJd4zhvPmiEjsNv0EEusVxSKRTKLDDrC6s/s1600/skincare+additions+.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've been trialling quite a few new skincare products recently, some of which I got in the <b>Look Fantastic Advent Calendar</b> over Christmas and others I bought myself. I really started paying more attention to my skincare routine in 2015, figuring out what worked for me and what didn't. However I feel like now my skin has maybe gotten used to some of the products I've been using regularly (is that even a thing?!) and it doesn't respond in the same way it used to. What used to treat my spots now doesn't really do anything for example. Plus it's always interesting to try out new products on your skin to see whether they make more of a difference. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One thing that's changed for me in the past year is how I remove my makeup. For a long time I used the <b>Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish</b> which I'm still a fan of, but it didn't really feel like it was doing much for my skin any more. That's when I started trying other cleansers and using micellar waters. The most recent being the <b>Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for combination/sensitive skin</b> and the <b>Eve Lom Cleanser</b>. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrtDrCUzqmltIxTiwlXdDmOHbpNCW-YEPoHfAR4ykfZmNVpKseYP64hftYno7MSzhHHhwmHBuepfgCHwUtunzdE05gG1JNvzSTr7maI_91__TglxnFKOvFzIMFmx1dc1GdmFkMBJLaJkc/s1600/micellar+water.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I use the <b>Garnier Miccellar Cleansing Water</b> mostly just to take off my eye makeup before cleansing or just generally to clean up my makeup. Sometimes however I will use it to completely take off all my makeup if I'm in a rush, feeling lazy or before having a shower. It removes literally every inch of my makeup and leaves my skin feeling spotless. It mattifies too which is great for someone like me with a very oily t-zone! It does so without being over drying on my skin or leaving it feeling tight, it actually feels quite soft. Having tried both I'd say it's definitely on a par with <b>Bioderma </b>and for a fraction of the price, I think it's a really great product. <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/Skin/Face/Micellar-Water/Garnier-Micellar-Cleansing-Water-Comb-&-Sensitive-Skin-400ml/p/460800?gclid=CPHn58eKqMoCFasEwwodTowGBA&gclsrc=aw.ds#.VpcONfmLR1v" target="_blank"><b>Available here</b></a> for £4.99. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The <b>Eve Lom Cleanser </b>I received in the <b>Look Fantastic 2015 Advent Calendar</b> and was probably the one product I was most excited about using from the calendar. It's a sample size, only 30ml, but a little goes a long way so hopefully it will last me a few more weeks yet! So far I really like it, it removes nearly all my makeup, though it is a little difficult to budge mascara etc with. It feels really luxurious to use, which I guess it should considering it costs £40 for 50ml, and leaves my skin feeling so incredibly soft and moisturised. I can't say I've noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin yet, but it'd definitely less oily in the mornings. Considering the price, as much as I would like to, I probably won't be purchasing a full size version of the<b> Eve Lom Cleanser</b>. I'll definitely make the most of what I have left however! <a href="http://uk.spacenk.com/en_GB/cleanser/MUK154050009.html" target="_blank"><b>Available here</b></a> from £40.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Cult 51 </b>was a brand I had never even heard of when I got the <b>Cult 51 Night Cream</b> in the <b>Look Fantastic Advent Calendar</b>. A quick google turned up that it's the world most expensive anti-ageing night cream at £125! It is a real pleasure to use but like the <b>Eve Lom Cleaser</b>, I'm making the most of it until it runs out because I certainly won't be buying it! It smells incredible, like a really expensive spa, and just a small amount makes my skin feel so hydrated. I really love using it, it's such a shame it's so expensive! <a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/cult51-night-cream/11061879.html?widget_id=99818" target="_blank"><b>Available here</b></a> for £125.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsnc_3b_dYEstSqrmsS53u5NJeHywu5IJuh5N8kDD8vjZSHWmdsErQWEGB5krP3akASJu90JzcqQte9GBJbc6bo5E9Cv6ql6jZDRvetuCaheK6Iv6C4kLtc-YPAn-uBTMwjKKpMSflZPk/s1600/vichy+normaderm.jpg" /></div>
<br />
After looking for a new day cream that would help with my blemishes, I decided on the <b>Vichy Normaderm Global anti-imperfection hydrating care.</b> I've literally only been using it for a few days so I can't comment on any improvements in my skin just yet. I might just review it properly and give it it's own post. It smells really fresh and sinks into my skin easily without leaving it feeling greasy. I like it so far but don't want to get my hopes up in case it does nothing for my blemishes! <a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/vichy-normaderm-hydrating-care-50ml/11091764.html?utm_source=googleprod&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=gp_bodycare&affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&gclid=CLeevPigqMoCFQueGwodx2MA_A&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CLqY1vigqMoCFcZnGwodJ5IGVw" target="_blank"><b>Available here</b></a> for £13.50.<br />
<br />
Yet another product that I've been trying from the <b>Look Fantastic Calendar</b> is the <b>Pai. Rice Plant & Rosemary BioAffinity Skin Tonic</b>. I absolutely LOVE this stuff, I'm convinced it's what's improved my skin these last few weeks! It calms, tones and rebalances skin and is specifically formulated for combination skin. I really do feel like it's rebalanced my skin as it's less oily and I already have less blemishes after only a few weeks. Despite being a little on the pricey side, I'll definitely be purchasing this!<b> <a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/pai-rice-plant-rosemary-bioaffinity-toner-50ml/10528444.html" target="_blank">Available here</a> </b>for £30.<br />
<br />
Lastly, I ventured away from my all time favourite <b>Body Shop Vitamin E Hand & Nail Cream</b> recently (although it's still my favourite!) and gave the <b>L'Occitane Zesty Lime Hand Cream</b> a try. I'm not even sure where I got this hand cream from, I think it might have been free with a magazine a while back! Anything citrus scented I love and this really is zesty! It contains shea butter so it's very moisturising too. I've tried quite a few <b>L'Occitane</b> products recently and I'm becoming a big fan! <a href="http://uk.loccitane.com/shea-zesty-lime-hand-cream,83,1,29776,626402.htm?cm_mmc=GoogleShopping-_-FluxProduits-_-Catalogue-_-01MC030K14&type=Brand_PPC&gclid=CIO-v_OoqMoCFQUewwodeTcNbw" target="_blank"><b>Available here</b></a> for £8.<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK4CuC93SZbkUOWIjoGveiYnmEBnDHNWZJxGzQO4vyHRHczYlqP8QtfHLVonTcArxvJV2jQ7ml__lvR_x7m92p1l2h2sT28Tqihj-y251YM9XUks5vkMFRMkex4lGdNniM1MJk1V-mpQU/s1600/baby+lips+2.jpg" /></div>
<br />
I have a confession to make, I've never actually tried the original <b>Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms</b>. I remember when they first came out they were hugely popular amongst beauty bloggers but I just never got round to trying them. I'm more a lipstick kind of girl and not really interested in balms. When I saw the new <b>Maybelline Baby Lips Balm & Blush</b> in my local Boots however, I immediately wanted to try them. I'll admit I was mostly drawn to the odd shaped, brightly coloured packaging, but also I genuinely quite liked the idea of a 2 in 1 balm and blush product.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZZPD1P4X4wQI5SAOreA3znxdBhSaa48i60nCF-YpfHQSu-3E_Jn1oWqMHo2rFd4VaAAmICXbCW7GA1wt-tSsO0UL2MeXL_6Q2wXYLPVz9FXaxd6KNV3oqCY0yQuT5R9WIvG_w6zs0tk0/s1600/baby+lips+4.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There were four shades available but I decided on buying the two shades I'm most likely to use, <b>05 Booming Ruby</b> and <b>01 Innocent Peach</b>. <b>Booming Ruby</b> is a bright red balm and <b>Innocent Peach</b> a bright pink. Before I'd opened them I was imagining a product similar to <b>Benfit's Benetint</b> because of the shape of the packaging. However I was surprised to see it's actually a round shaped, solid balm not dissimilar to the <b>EOS Lip Balms</b>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In the swatch below <b>Innocent Peach</b> is on the left and <b>Booming Ruby</b> on the right. <b>Innocent Peach </b>applied as a very sheer pale pink on the skin and was much the same colour on my lips too. <b>Booming Ruby</b> came out as a darker pink which surprised me, I thought it would be a lot more red toned considering how much of a vivid red the balm is. When applied to my lips it matched my natural colour, a slightly darker pink shade. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgznzeDV_CjQxsRMk8q1yDhCBLlB_3HN20bFPNqJqlZcsAp_DSaC-8NGcWjaTJLyJkaEyI26gNtfXhOa7cjos8OGBQ9dXuTxRgFWu1uCbLSxOlt3DS8iz08nw6imX7iFEWuxa-RlQOAy7w/s1600/baby+lips+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgznzeDV_CjQxsRMk8q1yDhCBLlB_3HN20bFPNqJqlZcsAp_DSaC-8NGcWjaTJLyJkaEyI26gNtfXhOa7cjos8OGBQ9dXuTxRgFWu1uCbLSxOlt3DS8iz08nw6imX7iFEWuxa-RlQOAy7w/s1600/baby+lips+7.jpg" /></a><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq_jnpYIfMiQl7krBTOHoZ4fCY4dHBzSTqnEwYn5X6pNnMwFBwEQ2KdMD5PbOFuH4wRYkxzXvJEV9H1FoqSrOaKUSIrW72ReBB9M8uygbNCN19MDpD6RYw_c8u5gmvHm9e0ELt8d3-10k/s1600/baby+lips+13.jpg" style="text-align: center;" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Booming Ruby</b> on the left, <b>Innocent Peach</b> on the right.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The colour of both are really sheer so I had to build it up quite a bit on my cheeks. As it's a solid balm which sort of melts into your skin, it ended up looking pretty shiny. I have quite oily skin anyway so my face is shiny enough as it is! It worked a little better when I applied it on my lips, but generally it just left me a bit, meh! <b>Innocent Peach</b> whilst being a nice colour, really showed up all the dry bits on my lips which wasn't particularly flattering. <b>Booming Ruby</b> worked out better, as I said before it basically matched the colour of my lips but didn't at least show up the dry bits! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At the end of the day though it's pretty much the same as any other tinted balm and in my honest opinion, not even worth the £4.99 price tag. Or the label as a blush! It seems like they've just repackaged the original <b>Baby Lips Balms</b> to make them look a bit more interesting. I'll probably keep using <b>Booming Ruby</b> on my lips for a natural bit of colour but unfortunately I couldn't make <b>Innocent Peach</b> work for me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you're a fan of the original <b>Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms</b> and want to try the <b>Maybelline Baby Lips Balm & Blush </b>for yourself then they are <b><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Baby-Lips-Balm-Blush-Innocent-Peach_1792367/" target="_blank">available here</a> </b>currently retailing for £4.99. </div>

<b>The short answer? There isn't one. </b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFcnNYaevAKh21pzT-i52_e2Tw-SUVwjt2M44v9bjNJXjL5-wM_V8Ge0VbAw3BP_XDfQo6fCFKEl3DaXBfxzZXGSaU9X-7wTCHiO0pAJSTElsFLPLQ4ZK0ybvcVtm0sdQQ0mGNuf2T6yQ/s1600/anxious+girl.jpg" /></div>
<b><br /></b>
<b>(This post is a little different to what I usually put up so if you're regular reader who's looking for more beauty posts, then I promise there will be more soon!)</b><br />
<br />
If you've just found this post then it's more than likely you're in quite a desperate situation right now. I want to say how sorry I am because I've been there too. Searching the internet for any information that would help ease the anxious chaos in my mind and body. Unfortunately there isn't a quick solution, but I'm sure you know that already.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>Find Your 'Thing'</b></span><br />
Sure breathing techniques help, meditation helps, even medication helps. We're all different so what works for me might not work for you. You've just got to keep on trying until you find the thing that makes it slightly more bearable. That thing that helps you face your anxiety head on because you're going need it on your road to recovery. You have to feel anxious in order to learn how to deal with it. It's what you least want to here but it's true.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>Quit Avoiding</b></span><br />
No more avoiding what makes you anxious because that sweet feeling of relief doesn't last. Believe me, I've been there. I barely left the house for an entire year, avoiding every difficult situation I could just so I wouldn't have to feel that gnawing anxiety. Do you want to know what changed that? Someone told me I needed to start being kinder to myself. And they were right. If I spoke to a friend the same way I spoke to myself, honestly I don't think I'd have any friends left. Be kind to yourself, give yourself options. Think about what you would say to someone else in the same situation.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>Something To Remember</b></span><br />
What you are going through now is only going to make you a stronger person in the long run. Anxiety gives you the strength to deal with stressful situations in a way that other people won't have. It will be your super power in the future. You'll be that person that doesn't get flustered when things get difficult because you'll have had so much practise at it!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">If something makes you feel anxious, do it! Keep doing it! Eventually it wont have that same power over you but you've got to keep feeling it to get to that point. It's the only way. You CAN do it!</span></b></div>
<br />
I'm not medically qualified to give advice on mental health issues. I have however been diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder and slight agoraphobia, so issues with anxiety are something I've had a lot of experience with over the years. I wanted to write this post mainly because when I was at my worst and searched the internet for advice, all I found was a lot of stuff from people who had never experienced it themselves. I am someone who is overcoming their issues with anxiety, it can be done and I wanted to share that with anyone who feels like it can't.<br />
<br />
If you'd like to speak to me about anything I've mentioned in this post then feel free to get in touch!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I just can't decide on a favourite mascara at the moment. For a long while it was <b>L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara</b> but now I seem to buy a different one every time I run out. One thing that does stay consistent however is how much I really like <b>L'Oreal</b> mascaras. Enter the <b>L'Oreal False Lash Sculpt Mascara</b>, my most recent purchase and the newest addition to the False Lash range. It's main selling points are that it 'tightlines at the root, volumizes at the core and fans out at the tip'. Doesn't that sound like an interesting premise? Definitely something I would be interested in from a mascara!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At first glance I really wasn't sure of this mascara, it just looks so odd! The wand is designed with a curved comb on one side only and has short bristles, that taper to almost non existent at the end. After giving it a try however it did change my mind. The comb fits perfectly to the shape of the eye and combs evenly through single lashes. Once you start applying it you quite quickly get a natural, fluttery lash look without having to apply too much. After one coat I was more than happy with how my lashes looked and for everyday, I probably would have stopped there. It had lengthened and fanned out my lashes perfectly. My one little snag is that it is a little difficult to get to the corner lashes with how the edge of the wand is designed. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The second coat worked to thicken my lashes more and create a darker base at the roots. As the first coat had dried so quickly however, it made it quite hard to work with without my lashes starting to clump together. After a few uses I've realised it's best to work quickly with the <b>False Lash Sculpt Mascara</b> if you want to apply more than one coat. On the plus side, the quick dry time does minimise smudging! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDiUmF_Jppu06Bfk3NbevLD0iRDGoy2mV_5J3d6IdTGvyVctsXubTRmJIi2438zRLG_ReD9aCNqnCMF1cMuLEcXFujQDsM9bKXKiblkn2GO2IU5p4gISZU_tDJbapt2NclelYyQ2rz_BA/s1600/sculpt+lashes+5.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It's not the most lengthening mascara in the world, neither does it add a whole lot of volume. I suppose it did darken the roots of my lashes slightly to create a kind of tight lining effect, but it was no more noticeable than any other mascara I've tried. The design of the wand however does make it really easy to coat the root of the lashes without the need to really wiggle the brush around.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you like your lashes to look long, fluttery and above all natural then the <b>L'Oreal False Lash Sculpt Mascara</b> would be a good one to try. It's currently <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eyes/Mascara/L'Oreal-False-Lash-Sculpt-Mascara-Black/p/599000#.VpBxk_mLR1u" target="_blank"><b>retailing here</b></a> for £5.99 reduced from £9.99, so there's no better time to give it a try whilst it's on offer! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's safe to say 2015 wasn't my year. There's wasn't one specific thing about it that was particularly bad, in fact there were plenty of really great moments. It was just a bit of a non-event if that makes sense, nothing particularly exciting happened. There were no moments were I felt especially proud of myself, nothing for my Mum to boast about on facebook anyway! Oh boy this is a real downer isn't it! I guess in all honesty I'm just frustrated. I'm frustrated because I know that I could be in a much happier position in life and the only thing that's holding me back is me. Hopefully by the end of 2016 I will have had one big achievement to be proud of, whatever it may be. </div>

<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">"Saying No"</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm sure I'll sound like the typical 'on the bandwagon' blogger here but I have issues with chronic anxiety and have had for a long time. All I'll say is I think it's great that mental health is spoken about much more openly now, I do however worry that some people are misinterpreting the difference between feeling anxious and chronic anxiety disorders. But anyway that's a subject for another time! Seven years ago I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and slight agoraphobia. It's something I deal with day to day and while it's effects are invisible to most, it's still the one thing that's holding me back from leading the life I want to lead. Fortunately I started to see a shift in 2015 where I was able to do things I haven't been able to for years. I really feel like this is a change that has continued with me into 2016 and I feel excited for all the things I will no longer be saying no to! </div>

<br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>"Future" </b></span><br />
I've not set myself any resolutions for 2016, purely because I'd have a list as long as my arm of things I hope to achieve! I don't have any sort of fixed focus of where I want to be in the future either. I'm hoping this will be the year when I start figuring all that out. As corny as it sounds though, I felt differently about moving into this new year than I did the last. In a good way. Things seems more possible now than they have for a long time, I'm positive that this stale mate I've been in for a while will finally become unstuck.<br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>"My Blog"</b></span><br />
I'm excited about what the future holds for me and my blog. I've got big plans for Beauty Dressed this year which involve posting a lot more regularly, improving my photography and writing and being more prominent on social media. I hope you've noticed a difference already in the quality of my recent blog posts! I feel really proud of the last few posts I've put up and I will do my utmost to make sure it continues. Get ready to see a new organised version of me this year, in all parts of my life!<br />

I hope you all have a fantastic 2016, I've got a good feeling about this one!<br />

<br />
Happy new year everyone! I hope you all had a brilliant start to 2016, even if you just stayed home like I did! Now that we've seen the last of 2015 I thought I'd share my favourite skincare and makeup products of the year. I've tried a fair few new products this year that I've included in the post but there's also some old favourites in there too.<br />
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First up is the palette that I reached for the most in 2015, the <b>Urban Decay Naked On The Run </b>palette. The five eye shadows included are all really wearable shades, so much so that I use at least one or two of them pretty much every single day. The blusher too is so pretty, it gives me a really natural pink flush of colour. The highlighting powder as well is beautiful, I use it as an eye shadow too and it works really well as both! You can't go wrong with an <b>Urban Decay</b> palette though can you?! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilXaz1nYFDBEqiH9JtSeI1xx32zxRyYK3yC_EqQN79-dxwjDb4BM3qDxj4Gp1zOTfVUTOw9NnAHqCHJPsWIoA2UsPqg9e6U-rCfi42X5K3OMZFJZ130co3sVbeeJ6c19YBwbz6y1hxJjk/s1600/15+favourites+5.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My other favourite eye products of 2015 were the <b>Rimmel Glam'Eyes Professional Liquid Liner</b> and the <b>Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil </b>in 'Stag'. Towards the beginning of the year I was really into liquid liner and always used it to create a little flick. The <b>Rimmel Glam'Eyes</b> liner ended up becoming my favourite for the job, it's easy to use to get a precise flick and it stays in place all day, job done. Towards the second half of the year however I moved away from liquid liner to a more natural, slightly smoky look. I started using the <b>Urban Decay</b> eye pencil in stag, a dark brown shade, to line around the outer corner of my eyes and blend it out. These pencils are the easiest I've ever used, they literally glide on and blend out beautifully and stay in place all day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My stand out favourite blushers of 2015 were the <b>Max Factor Cream Puff Blushers</b>. They create a gorgeous, dew glow on your skin that I've never seen from any other blusher. I've absolutely loved using them time and time again, my particular favourite shades being 15 Seductive Pink and 05 Lovely Pink. You can check out my <a href="http://beautydressed.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/review-max-factor-creme-puff-blush.html" target="_blank"><b>full review of them here</b></a>. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOB9-DWAnk0eSg_NvT5TgS8Z2J30M72pR9GWk7ZXMiu9fVegIedNqkQ_CzgZsIXoNREjRs5jfU8Iyyz93QbMnCXHaq2NlhR0AWKwoipJ_PyvPa3uoeeXqFOKvUS1yspllo1KPl2rjZoEo/s1600/15+favourites+6.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Maybelline Super Stay 7 Day Gel Nail Polishes</b> overtook <b>Barry M</b> nail paints as my favourite polishes this year. If you haven't tried the <b>Maybelline</b> polishes already then you must, they really are great! I love the gel finish, they last ages and there's a huge selection of beautiful shades available too. Nude Rose and Midnight Red are my particular favourites!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When it came to concealing, I found two new favourites in 2015, the <b>Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Concealer</b> and the <b>L'Oreal True Match La Touche Magique Anti Fatigue Concealer.</b> The <b>Maybelline</b> concealer is brilliant for covering, redness, scarring and spots and helped me cheat my way to flawless skin on bad skin days. It doesn't have the best staying power, I'm yet to find one that does on my oily skin, but it conceals brilliantly so I'll definitely carry on using it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My favourite concealer of 2015 overall however was the <b>L'Oreal La Touche Magique Concealer</b> for under the eyes. It really brightens up my under eye area and gets rid of any dark circles almost instantly! It doesn't crease either and a little goes a long way, I'm really glad I tried this one in 2015! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJkPYZYzseyXdiOjskxPcgauf4pmHZRUpRZldrcsovxGSaeSIl3T-WJQiAJxn-nE5dS8YKubsoMC5fUblFZL7K0iU_4G4hTuRbC-4FKo4aDxZxEVKoaWDJEQ6VW2hulyZdB2ZpGo5fawA/s1600/15+favourites+8.jpg" /></div>
<br />
On to a few of my skincare favourites now, and the product I was most excited by in 2015 was <b>Bioderma Micelle Water</b>. This stuff literally saved my skin, I'm convinced it's what's helped my skin to look brighter, clearer and has made it so much easier to remove my makeup!<br />
Of course I also have to mention <b>La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +</b>. This has so many fans and for good reason, if you have spot prone then you need to give this stuff a try! It's been my go to spot treatment for a couple of years now purely because it gives such great results. Another product I keep repurchasing year on year is <b>The Body Shop Vitamin E Hand & Nail Treatment</b>. It's the only hand cream that helps when I get really dry, cracked skin that doesn't irritate my skin.<br />
<br />
The last product to talk about is the <b>Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm</b>. It's a real blogger's favourite this lip balm purely because it does such a good job. I didn't once have a problem with cracked lips in the past year which is pretty unusual for me. I put it all down to the fact that I have been using this regularly and yet, there's still so much product left in that little tub! See my <b><a href="http://beautydressed.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/nuxe-reve-de-miel-lip-balm-is-it-any.html" target="_blank">full review of it here</a>.</b><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Every year I wonder whether I should do a 'What I got for Christmas' post, but they're always so popular and I love reading other peoples posts too. I guess everyone's just as nosey as I am! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was incredibly spoilt by my lovely family this year and even though I've already said it, I just want to take the opportunity here again to say a huge thank you to them, I'm so incredibly grateful for all the lovely gifts I received this year. I've loved spending these last few days with my family, it's my absolute favourite thing about Christmas and I'm so incredibly lucky to have them in my life. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My main presents from my parents this year were a gorgeous rose gold Olivia Burton watch with a mink strap and a new radio for my car. I've wanted an Olivia Burton watch for absolutely ages but they were all so beautiful I couldn't decide which one I liked best. In the end I got my Mum and Dad to choose for me and I think they chose perfectly! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As for the car radio, you might think it's a slightly strange present to ask for, but for so long I've been desperate to be able to play music from my phone in my car! My car's pretty old, it still has a tape deck and there's a cd changer in the boot, I'm really excited now I'm going to be able to play my own music in my car! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I got a couple of books too this year, I used to always get tons but I mostly read kindle ebooks these days! My parents got me a book I've been longing to read for ages, Face Paint: The Story Of Makeup by my all time makeup idol Lisa Eldridge. I can't wait to sit down one afternoon and read this from cover to cover! My granny also got me a little book, The Lady In The Van, a true story by Alan Bennet. It sounds like such an interesting story and I plan on seeing the recent movie that's come out based on the book too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the presents my sister got me (and coincidentally I also got her!) was the Ban.do Gold Ringleader 18 Month Diary. It has the most beautiful illustrations and quirky little quotes inside it and I just love it! She already knew I was going to her the diary and I guess she realised that I loved it too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYZOj-ixmc_tV6ptgVG0XsbT3AzTuT6b2euZ1szfp0PXZqd0weLr3c726H24y_xP7pnhXwOER_7EruBFk_JlqB5pc_iTHK-BliV1yRCMKVLCBQbcRX5mc8RAiiyooezj3lySf_8Zbm5gQ/s1600/what+i+got+2015+10.jpg" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've been after a carnival letter light for absolutely ages and my Mum managed to get me this one for my room. I've only ever seen huge versions but this one is the perfect size to put on the sideboard in my room. Something else I asked for after spotting it on the Asos website was The Selfy Store Blogger Bundle. It contains everything a blogger needs to take good pictures using the camera on your phone including: a stand, a wide angle lens and a blue tooth remote. I think I'll be upping my instagram game come 2016! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb3CamCl3Yh0YnPjN7d9Esio9yn2CLV2DR8Z-5ocWlY7mV8AkRFqb_L2dpLtafg0f5t50hhbsYdUa0sKn3kppY0jhuJZa44Y7tUaivgWpmOj17dskMw6vz_sd7R-wIGsGR7mKOSopoK_E/s1600/what+i+got+2015+12.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb3CamCl3Yh0YnPjN7d9Esio9yn2CLV2DR8Z-5ocWlY7mV8AkRFqb_L2dpLtafg0f5t50hhbsYdUa0sKn3kppY0jhuJZa44Y7tUaivgWpmOj17dskMw6vz_sd7R-wIGsGR7mKOSopoK_E/s1600/what+i+got+2015+12.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of course it goes without saying that I got some really great beauty products this year too including: the new Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume, the Balm cosmetics Nude'Tude eye shadow palette, the Nars One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette and the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms. Eeek, I love playing around with new makeup!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have to admit, I hardly ever wear perfume but I tried the Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume tester in a magazine a few weeks ago and fell in love with it! These two palettes too, how gorgeous are they! I've been after the Balm cosmetics Nude'Tude palette for ages and my sister very kindly got it for me along with the Nars One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette. The lipsticks too are so beautiful, two nude shades and a vibrant red. I'd never tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury until I got these but I'm pretty sure I'll be making lots of purchases in the future! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
We're on the 21st of December now and in the calendar today was a 50ml bottle of St Tropez Instant Tan. It's a wash off face and body lotion for fair to medium skin, which is also water and transfer resistant and is meant to last for 24 hours.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I've only ever used fake tan twice in my life and both times were for when I was going on holiday and didn't want to look too pasty on the beach! Generally though I like my pale skin so I'm not bothered about fake tanning, but seeing as it washes off after 24 hours I might be tempted to give it a try during the summer for a party or something!<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFa4bapVcDVLN3HR_3KimkCTvRGiXehrnemyYrZEcLiLmO6xp7JHFrjj6aFPyFXJpegPwvicv1j18JmibTWr6grm1IdqtkwRiOHuBYUTF59HGQIUIa2Q2J054n_18UFCF9MrSeqpK-fo0/s1600/eyeshadow+2.jpg" /></div>
<br />
As with last weekend I've coupled together this weekend's advents in one post so here's days 19 and 20.<br />
<br />
On Day 19 of the Look Fantastic Calendar, the treat behind the door was a bareMinerals Eyeshadow in the shade 'graphite'. It's a dark grey matte shade which looks like it could be perfect for a smokey eye! It is a loose powder eyeshadow however which I'm not too fond of as it goes everywhere! I haven't used it properly yet but I did swatch it on my hand. I built up the colour for it to look how it does in the picture below so it's fairly pigmented but the colour works better when you build it up.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAKVEg1g4IERg3QIKC38gedzNLWy_RnZ8_uPBk8uq3nXzoAmOwv9KAmrA_dhuw0LC_UU89Kqmm9c3vWU-QrR8SjEp_8te0ou757zi_R9x4Z8zN91Ldv7CztStucKiqOo5fvENvq-9v1IQ/s1600/eyeshadow+4.jpg" style="text-align: center;" /><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6AO8We49Ia7ujvDk9Ffht5o3DBOSIc-ynNlB2yRv7dI9nFgZCuvZddAp8krQiEGdYOYQPJ6AYgN0Apj9BfCoxjoX5PlXSlWALI-3txDt66RXo5j8IKSAhpTdDUHAMhVJbFRDX8_UGMvY/s1600/molton+2.jpg" /></div>
<br />
Day 20 was from one of my all time favourite brands Molton Brown, it's a 100ml bottle of their Black Peppercorn bodywash. It contains a mix of Madagascan black pepper, coriander and basil and smells absolutely incredible! It's quite a masculine scent however and when I showed it to my Dad he loved it, so I'll be giving this to him!<br />
<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5tZcGiSzQ3rXfbkrHllCSNX5GooXGI1Mitan4kjJErNsb5yBdGsJxhi2bzSi84G-VZA_8y-E33Ya6no0K1B7v_OG8VfX9t3rk7MIIOp3D1ITUw_NuJhGgOZRwpM3DvzNb_BhFO7qx14Q/s1600/pai+3.jpg" /></div>
<br />
It's officially one week until Christmas which means we're on day 18 of the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar. Today in the calendar was a mini bottle of Pai. Rice Plant & Rosemary BioAffinity Skin Tonic. Pai products are made specifically for people with sensitive skin which is me! I don't know why I've never used Pai. products before, I guess I've never seen them in any shops. I'm gonna have a good look at all the products they have on their website now though!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
The tonic is in a spray bottle which you spray all over your face after you've cleansed. It's formulated for combination skin and is supposed to improve the appearance of skin tone and texture, by calming, toning and rebalancing. If this works for me then I can imagine this would be a product that I would definitely purchase. <br />
<br />

<br />
This month has flown by so fast, I can't believe it's the 17th of December already! Today in the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar was a Rimmel Volume Flash Scandaleyes Mascara, which goes perfectly with the Magnifibres Mascara Primer from yesterday. I used to use the Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara all the time, they're pretty decent mascaras considering the price! I'm looking forward to giving this one a try too!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
This mascara has a huge brush which is supposed to shape, plump and exaggerate your lashes. The bristles also flex in and out to prevent clumps. On principal it sounds like the ideal mascara for me, fingers crossed it lives up to my expectations!<br />
<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim03LoAkN4ob1879IAbz6dNBR1qKO7wyBsj0wGObXoXJ0nYXy1X-XsDP4K_vLyfD2yrkxJlcfAVbd3agwfqOJHKtSENUmKdqIipVp3TCcmK2yVSGjpGtnF7Atm3mNlMihgJEyn_0T1XR8/s1600/magnifibres+1.jpg" /></div>
<br />
I hope you aren't getting too bored yet of reading these calendar posts everyday, not including today there's still 9 more to go! Behind today's door was something that looked very exciting, a full size Magnifibres Treatment Primer. It forms a 'perfect base' to make mascara easy to apply and contains Provitamin B5, Peptide Blend Hyaluronic acid to nourish and condition lashes. I'm really interested to try this, I especially like fanned out, seperated lashes so if this gives me that then I'll be very happy!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I've never used a lash primer before but now I have two to try, this one and the Benefit They're Real Tinted Lash Primer. I'm thinking maybe I'll do another post comparing the two of them it that's of interest to anyone?<br />
<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGRhxn9x7T4tg-KLjl_bJTVS8H3avvL8_A8AE2kFLSnSzUFIVl8_xt9qkYhWtAl45sRRbqn6A-4PzW5r2Q2pAUqHQlhVRoXxADJYYcLBdhDRdZdj2C30aVuFV-8hyphenhyphendyt-54yAN8ELLJnI/s1600/hair+mask+1.jpg" /></div>
<br />
It's day 15 of the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar (10 days people, 10 days!) and behind today's door was a 50ml tub of Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask. At first I thought this was a face mask, it does't actually say on the front, but only after reading the instructions did I find out it was for your hair. It contains Prickly Pear Seed Oil which according to their website, 'is one the richest natural sources of vitamin E and antioxidants.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I don't ever use hair masks, is that bad? I am looking forward to giving this a try however and seeing the results it gives me. It's pretty expensive stuff too, it retails for around £51, so as I've said before it's great to be able to try brands that would normally be out of my price range.<br />

<br />
I've been pretty busy recently so I haven't managed to upload in a few days, so instead I thought I would put days 13 and 14 together.<br />
<br />
So on Day 13 of the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar, behind the door was a Caudalie 30ml Hand and Nail Cream. It's a nourishing cream designed to improve dry, chapped hands and brittle nails, but is also an antioxidant and anti-ageing treatment. I always have really dry, chapped hands during the winter months and my skin is really sensitive to heavily perfumed products, so I'm quite picky about the hand cream that I use. This hand cream is very heavily perfumed and don't get me wrong it does smell amazing but it did make my skin sting slightly. I think unfortunately I'll be giving this one away to my Mum or my Sister.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Day 14 brought me a mini bottle of Monuspa Bali Massage and Body Oil, which contains Almond Seed, Sndalwood and Rosewood Oils. It can be used as either a treatment oil or a bath or shower oil, whichever way you use it, it's supposed to promote relaxation. I'm more likely to use this as a bath or shower oil as a little luxury treat once in a while. Looking forward to giving this a try though!<br />

<br />
We're on Day 12 of the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar which means there's only 13 days left, I really don't want it to end! I've probably said this already but I'm really impressed with the brands and products included in the calendar so far! Great sized products too, I already feel like it's well worth the money!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Today included a little bottle of Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, a 'light hydrating mist to refresh and enliven skin and senses'. I've actually never tried any kind of face mist but I've always like the idea of them. I'm not normally a fan of rose scented products either but I really like this, it's light and refreshing, not at all overpowering. The bottle's a great size for travelling too, it would really come in handy on long flights to give my skin a bit of a refresh. This one gets a big thumbs up from me!<br />

<br />
It's officially Christmas party season which means it's time to bring out the glitter! Easiest way to do it? With glitter eyeliner obviously. This isn't that silly, watery glitter rubbish you experimented with at your school disco though. It's way more advanced these days and actually wearable. That's what Maybelline have created with the <b>Master Ink Black Gold Glitter Liner</b>. Essentially it's like a regular black liquid liner except it has gold glitter running through it.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghPfwFAn9mF0hjRS9H89IipenQMTFnvFj2d1xPf__6gdMsEzJjMJ-O4p7jPDX-dUMgXHF-64c9YpkVZNetWmm39OetvzBJcLSx5cgkWAuNlkStm8YtSlDiNjGDHfQGntD2AS-mjAXlnQk/s1600/master+ink+2.jpg" /></div>
<br />
The <b>Maybelline Master Ink Glitter Liner</b> has a newly designed 'Smart Tip Brush' which hands down has to be one of the easiest liquid liner applicators I've ever used! It has the best of both worlds, a felt tip style applicator which is easy to use, but doesn't dry out because you dip it in the pot of liquid liner. I found that I could get a really precise line and flick with it and honestly, I felt like barely had to look in the mirror it was that easy. The <b>Master Ink Liner</b> is also available in a Matte Black and a Satin Black shade and I really want to try both these now.<br />
<br />
What's even better is that once this stuff dries there is no budging it! It dries like a film so it's pretty much impossible to smudge and didn't flake off at all. Maybelline claim it to last a whopping sixteen hours which personally I haven't tested. I'm liable to believe it though judging by how difficult it is to remove. I was worried I would end up having to scrub at my eyes which I obviously didn't want to do. In the end however I actually found it peeled off in one long strip, slightly odd but not in a bad way!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyBj_X-b-J-XBl1YbZZ_m6khGmlW7Mq52eBfKauwTTL-wEzjivkuVngS7uokza5lxDsr0lZlKLfFhKalMqBInKAKZMd_nllhd_AQhvKYqsKL0CEvzJc8zKobnYCr24dju57uR651_Cj5k/s1600/master+ink+7.jpg" style="text-align: center;" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiegh9QqrfwqhG0r4eLHSVwYXDh45NsCeVlHdVkUgPoaFwcJvxpak-dlLswCJ-4V3KucHVQVS7v64LvKYZ07c4pZWl4goh6f8t_fLtXYhULTqpnBhq4EfpRLHKeXz4A9DRi9D6smYcTedo/s1600/master+ink+8.jpg" /></div>
<br />
The <b>Maybelline Master Ink Glitter </b>is really versatile in that you could incorporate it in almost any look. For me I found the best way to use it was to create a smoky eye, then line my eyes with a little flick of glitter and a thin line on top of the black on my lower lash line. I don't tend to wear a smoky eye as I think it looks a little too severe against my pale skin, but adding in the line of glitter just made it a bit more fun and wearable for me. I'm such a girly girl that I just can't resist a bit of glitter!<br />

<br />
I completely forgot to post this yesterday, I apologise, so here's a slightly late post of what was inside Day 11 of the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar. Behind the door was a box of Eylure Lengthening No. 035 false lashes. Eylure is my absolute favourite brand for false lashes so I was very happy to see these! I was also happy to find that they are natural looking ones which is generally what I prefer. If I'm honest though I hardly ever wear false lashes, but seeing as these are natural, lengthening ones I might give them a try out on Christmas day.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Even better Eylure now provide little applicators in with the lashes so I should have no problems applying them. On that subject, when I was younger I always used to do my sister's makeup for her, when she was going on nights out and would apply her and her friends false eyelashes too! I've had a fair bit of practise at applying lashes considering I don't usually wear them myself!<br />

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAxdLPO7bY_0CdHBy3qQOzzUSuvvi-t89YywEetWuoNKgTKCGIyrf4OKsnariuNbR1_4IKMYs1K5egMPEWZekubkc31c1z_QzkfbDqICIKvtuEPTLbwXjzrpod17-9jSLX_h12kGkLxPE/s1600/nude+stix+1.jpg" /></div>
<br />
Day 10's treat in the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar was a Nudestix Lip and Cheek Pencil in a gorgeous, rich red shade not too disimilar to Mac's Ruby Woo. I can't figure out what the name of the shade is however, I can't find a similar colour online. The only clue I'm going with is that it has the word 'Satan' on it! Surely no one would name a lipstick Satan, I'm thinking it might be a typo and was meant to say Satin, as in satin finish!<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO8CEdZdhroedo4-S9CAp5cTlyPLnH5TOwLJ9L_mNMfBXcePGp_qrhqfhM7lQQ7E2uocC01XA5m8YrnV6GE7UCM8YmBE8c5_irK1SjusALcDBboSNXp0CWUnMbU1WXxukD9Hofg7PNeus/s1600/nudestix+2.jpg" /></div>
<br />
The pencil glides on your lips beautifully, it may just be my new favourite red lipstick! The colour looks a little washed out in the picture above due to me use a soft box light, but it is very vibrant in real life and I love it! The finish is perfect for me too, it's matte but the texture is so creamy that it doesn't really highlight cracks in your lips like others do. I'm not sure if I'd really use it on my cheeks however, I rubbed in a little bit onto my hand and it was way too red for me to use. My cheeks are red enough as it is, could be good for darker skin tones however.<br />
<br />
Have you got the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar this year? What do you think of the products so far?<br />

<br />
This month seems to be just zooming by! There was something very exciting in the Look Fantastic Calendar today, a little 10ml tub of Cult 51 night cream. I had to google Cult 51 because I'd never heard of it and for good reason too. Turns out this stuff costs a whopping £125 per tub, hence why I wasn't familiar with it, it's completely out of my price range! It has fantastic reviews though so I'm really interested to see what it can do for my skin. Plus it smells incredible, I don't really know how to explain it, it just smells 'expensive'! Either way I think I'll be using this sparingly because I won't be able to afford to replace it!<br />
