Three Ways To Wear... A Trench Coat

Is there a more versatile staple in any girls wardrobe than the trusty trench coat? I don't think so! Time and time again I pull out my camel trench coat and pair it with almost anything. As the beginning of Autumn approaches and we all start to wonder what the heck to wear in this crazy hot/cold, can't make up it's mind weather, now is no better time to give the trench coat a good dusting off. There are so many versions of the classic mac in the shops at the moment that you'd be hard to find one that doesn't suit you, Primark has some particularly good ones in store currently that are well worth hunting out! Check out my ideas below for three different ways to wear a trench coat, then let me know what you think below!

The Classic Camel Mac
The classic camel mac is the one most of us have in our wardrobe and you can wear it with literally anything! For a casual evening look I'd team it with a crisp white shirt open at the collar, tucked into a pair of rolled up 'Boyfriend' jeans. Finishing the look with statement lace up red heels and faux red leather saddle bag. Alternatively, a pair of burgundy brogues would look great for more of an everyday look.

The Burgundy Trench
Autumn fashion automatically makes me think of burgundy, it's one of those colours I only really wear at this time of year. It's a great alternative colour for a trench coat if you're wanting to try something new as it works really well with the seventies trend which continues to be dominating this year. Paired with a roll neck sweater and black suede a-line mini, add in a pair of patent mary jane's and patchwork tassel suede bag for a girly yet grown up vibe.

Buy this look:
Burgundy Wrap Mac - Primark £25 (in stores now)
Black Suede A-Line Skirt - Topshop (part of AW15 Mainline Collection in stores soon)

The Alternative Suede Trench
Suede is a trend to really get on board with this season so why not go all out with a suede trench coat. This stone coloured mac would look perfect with a denim shirt dress and over the knee statement boots for a shopping trip or lunch with the girls. The contrasting stone coloured bucket bags gives a more relaxed feel to the outfit.
